Safety in the workplace

It is a firm belief of ESCA Ltd that any action aimed at improving health and safety does not constitute a burden but a valuable investment.

Recognizing the importance of protecting the health and safety of its employees as well as its customers, suppliers, neighbouring community and / or companies by preventing accidents and mitigating the potential harmful effects, ESCA Ltd adopted a certified organizational management model based on preventive rather than protective measures and arrangements in order to eliminate or, if not possible, to minimize occupational hazards to which workers may be exposed.

It is therefore a management system aimed at promoting preventive safety, risk control and continuous improvement of performance through the effective application of an operational and organizational scheme that includes compliance with and management of the requirements of the applicable laws as a prerequisite.

The company implements an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) in compliance with BS OHSAS 18001:2007 International Standard and UNI – INAIL 2001 Guidelines and is certified by Certiquality Milan.

ESCA decided to make this effort because it recognizes the importance and significance of these aspects in prevention at the workplace as well as in the production cycle, with the knowledge and commitment to always guarantee the customer a product in accordance with the set statutory and legal requirements, and with the confidence to provide the highest level of food safety along the entire production chain.
